On 31 December 1939, an order published in the AHM mandated backfitting the vehicle with a Notek Tarnscheinwerfer set on a normal wheeled vehicle stand, and covering the main headlights (Hauptscheinwerfer) with a Feldgrau Abblendkappe dimming cap.
